USPS Letters To Lennon
Making an interactive experience for users to connect with a legendary musician.
My Role: Senior UX Designer
My Duties: interaction design (wireframes and UI), UX research, UX exploration (sitemap, user flows)
Project Overview: Letters To Lennon is an interactive map experience helping user’s locate John Lennon USPS mailboxes around Manhattan. Each mailbox represents a specific location significant to John Lennon. We will built a digital experience that directs you to all nine mailboxes around the city to hear love letters written to Lennon by his friends and fellow artists.
Experience Journey (User Flow)
Translating the experience into an interactive map required a step by step user flow document. The experience was based off of Google maps API, plus a few more bells and whistles. The user was able to move through the mailbox locations as cards or as pinpoints on a map - each location showed the user the distance of the mailbox from their current location, as well as access to bonus content.
